Quick & Easy Skin Remedies!

 skincare remediesHi everyone,

This entire post is dedicated on quick & easy homemade remedies. Enjoy!

Chapped Lips:

-Apply a thin layer of Vaseline on your lips and rub gently with your fingers or for better results with an old toothbrush.

-Crack open a Vitamin E gel capsule and rub into your lips.

-Rub sesame oil or olive oil on your lips.

Flaky Skin:

-Rub half of an apple on the skin to help even out your skin’s texture.

-Sprinkle sugar in your palm and dampen with water. Massage it on the flaky areas gently and rinse with luke warm water.

Dehydrated Skin:

-Mix 2 drops of lavender oil with baking soda and water until it becomes a paste texture. Apply it onto the face and leave it on for 5 minutes. Rinse with cool water and follow with moisturizer.

Tired or Dull Skin:

Refrigerate aloe vera gel for about an hour. Apply on face and lie down for 10 minutes. Rinse with luke warm water.

-Lie on your back and hang your head over the side of a bed for 5 minutes. This will feed oxygen to your face and improve your color and tone.

Oily Patches:

-Keep a spray bottle of rose water inside the refrigerator and give yourself a wake-up spritz in the morning, after you wash your face. You may also dab it on a cotton ball and apply before going to bed onto clean skin.

Pimples:

-When showering put a small amount of baking soda onto the palm of the hand and rub into your skin. This will help get rid of pimples and blackheads.

-Dot a bit of clay mask on your pimples and leave it on overnight. Rinse off in the morning.

Soak a piece of bread in milk and place it on the pimple. Lie down for it to soak it in for about 30 minutes and rinse after.

Inflamed, Irritated, or Sensitive Skin:

-Make a pot of Chamomile tea and pour it into an ice cube tray to freeze it. After it is frozen wrap a cube in a thin cloth and rub gently on face.

Soak a small cloth into milk, squeeze, and apply onto the affected area for 10 minutes. Rinse after with luke warm water.

Homemade Hair Products!

Hi everyone,

So as a little girl my mom would always use tomato juice or lemon juice to style my hair. She would substitute these two for Mousse! I know it sounds weird but it really works! It not only gives you that hold you look for from mousse or gel, but it also gives you a beautiful healthy shine. I always asked her why she would do this to me as a little girl and not just use mousse or gel and she would say, “It’s safer, healthier, & will not damage your hair.” You get all the nutrients & vitamins from both the tomato and the lemon and this is especially a better alternative for all of the people that use mousse or gel on a daily basis. Think about all the damage you are doing to your hair by using mousse or gel. They both have harmful ingredients that dry out your hair and damage it.

So forget the mousse & gel you’re using and try both of these on your hair!

Here is how you can use them:

tomato juice for hair Tomato– Cut a tomato in half, squeeze it out onto a small bowl, remove all the seeds, add 1 tablespoon of water. Mix together and apply with your hand or brush onto the hair.

Tomatoes are full of both vitamin A & C.

You don’t have to put the entire tomato if you are just wanting to hold a certain section. The remainder you can store in the refrigerator up to 3-4 days. And it doesn’t make your hair smell if you are concerned about that. It truly doesn’t smell like anything.

lemon for hair careLemon– Cut a lemon in half, squeeze it out onto a small bowl as well, add 3 teaspoons of water. Mix together and apply with brush or hands.

The lemon juice will give your hair a healthy shine. You can also store the remainder of the juice in the refrigerator up to 2-3 days.

Lemons are packed with vitamin C and will leave the hair smelling clean.

Both of these work wonderful! Hope you all can give them a try & tell me how you like them?

Enjoy!

My Obsession for Coconut!

coconut oilHi everyone,

So I am always talking about coconut oil in most of my posts, so i decided to dedicate an entire post to this. I honestly cant picture my life without coconut oil! Its my absolute favorite product. From it helping you loose weight to the best makeup remover, I recommend this to everyone! I use it everyday for everything! I definitely think this is a miracle fruit! (Im obsessed) You all can find coconut oil at Whole Foods & Farmers Markets for about $9 a jar. I buy the Spectrum Naturals brand. A jar will last you for about 2 months & this comes as a solid form and turns into an oil when exposed to body heat.

Here are all the wonderful ways I use coconut:

Makeup Remover: I love this when it comes to removing my makeup every night. It removes all of it immediately, even waterproof makeup! Its the most affordable & safe way to remove makeup. I will never pay more than $9 for a makeup remover…that’s insane. This is honestly the best!

Weight loss Drink: When I say drink it I mean yes the actual coconut oil not the coconut juice. The coconut oil is amazing for loosing belly fat & supports and aids immune system function. It promotes loss of excess weight by increasing metabolic rate. Drink 1 tablespoon per day. Mix with a little bit of Welch’s Grape Juice. Recommend to drink in the morning & wait 1 hour before you eat.

Body & Face Moisturizer: This is amazing when it comes to moisturizing the skin! I use it all over my body. I scoop out some coconut oil from the jar and apply an even layer all throughout my body & face everyday. Wait a couple minutes to let your skin absorb it. I will never use body lotion again and for my face I will never spend on a moisturizer! FYI: The Coconut Oil prevents WRINKLES, SAGGING SKIN, and AGE SPOTS!!

On my Hair: I also use coconut oil on the tips of my hair. It promotes healthy looking hair. This also helps relieve dryness and flaking if applied on the scalp.

Cook with Coconut Oil: I also use coconut oil to cook with. It is much healthier and tastes the same as other oils!

Coconut also improves calcium and magnesium absorption and supports the development of strong bones & teeth.

-Also helps protect against kidney disease and bladder infections. This dissolves kidney stones and helps prevent liver disease.

Supports thyroid function.

-Helps prevent obesity and overweight problems.

-And overall COCONUT is a yummy fruit!:)

So now you all know how important the coconut is! I hope you all try some of these tips…I guarantee you all will love it! Tell me what you try? Do you like this?
