Hi Beauty Junkies,
I’m BACK! Its been way to long since I’ve been MIA…but 2012 is a new year and I plan on getting back into my beauty tip blogging! 2011 brought me so many amazing experiences such as…graduated from FIDM, began my job in the Beauty Industry, traveled to amazing new places, gained knowledge on skincare/cosmetics, and most importantly I learned that you should never give up on foolish dreams.

Ohh and I totally forgot something super important…I got myself a Clarisonic!!!! Which I am so obsessed with and it has completely changed my life🙂

Stay tuned…

Vena Cava Nails!

Hi everyone,

I was just flipping through my favorite magazine Allure in its July 2011 issue and saw a picture of Vena Cava nails on the runway and fell in LOVE! I was so inspired I couldn’t wait to get home and try it myself! It has a classic look with a edgy twist. I recreated this look at home with my OPI Black Onyx and OPI DS Classic as the lighter shade of brown. I used tape to create a crisp finish and it worked well. I love it!

Cutest Summer 2011 Trend!

What are heel condomsHi everyone,

Ever heard of heel condoms? I know it sounds weird but it’s the cutest most brilliant trend for your high heels! I am obsessed! They make great gifts and of course are perfect for traveling! All you need is one pair of shoes and a couple heel condoms and you are set to go! Heel Condoms was created by a 23 year old girl in Puerto Rico named Sandrysabel Ortiz.

She says,” Like all women, she wanted to fit her closet of shoes into her suitcase, that’s when Heel Condoms was born. She thought: “If we dress up, why not dress up our shoes?” Aside from making your shoes different, Heel Condoms protect the heel, hence the name “condom”. The name was chosen wisely to serve as a publicity stunt and have it be in everyone’s head, whether they loved it or hate it. We needed the name to be memorable and Heel Condoms is just that! Heel Condoms have been featured in different media outlets such as MSN, Yahoo, NBC, EFE, Caribbean Business, Perez Hilton, Glamour Magazine, InStyle Magazine, Hollyscoop, Huffington Post, among others.”

Carrot Facial Mask!

How to make a carrot & honey facial maskHi everyone,

Its been awhile. Sorry! I am trying to get back into my blogging routine:) So I just tried this Carrot Facial Mask a couple days ago and became a huge fan. It is super easy to make and truly works. I am not a fan of the smell, but I enjoyed the feeling it gave my face. I think it’s a great alternative if you need a quick remedy. Carrots are very high in vitamin A and C!

Here is how you all can make it:

-2 large carrots (Carrots help regenerate skin cells and protect skin from free radicals)

-Peal the carrots and steam until they are soft.

-Then mash the carrots into a creamy consistency.

-1 tablespoons honey (Honey will reduce inflammation as well as swelling.)

Enjoy!

Fruit Facial Mask with Peach!

Hi everyone,

So this week’s mask is one of my favorites. It is made with real fruit and an egg white.  Peaches contain an enzyme that tightens up loose pores and this will help improve the look, texture, and feel of your skin.

-Remove the peel and pit of a fresh peach

-One Egg White

-Whip both the egg white & peach together

-Smooth all over the face and let it sit for 15 minutes

-Rinse with luke warm water

Brewers Yeast & Yogurt Mask for Oily SkinHi everyone,

Good morning! Well you all know it’s monday…which means a new homemade recipe! This mask is perfect for oily skin and will definitely help. Its main ingredient is Brewer’s Yeast which as we all know has a “skin’s respiratory factor“..that allows it to be applied topically to accelerate the healing of skin problems. It is one of the best ingredients you can add to a mask!

Here’s how to make it:

-1tsp. Brewer’s Yeast

-Add enough natural yogurt to make a thin mixture

-Pat onto the face in all oily areas

-Allow it to dry on the skin

-After 15-20 minutes rinse with luke warm water
